Agata Turns 1!

Regular blog readers probably remember who Agata is. And for those who don't remember or don't know, let me remind you :) Agata is our little daughter (mine — the site's author Elena — and my husband Alexey's). She is our greatest joy and a bright ray of sunshine in any weather!

For now, we're excited to share the news that Agata recently had her birthday — she just turned one whole year old! You can see how she's changed over this past year in the photos :)

This is the little gnome we brought home from the maternity hospital :)

And here she's taking a skeptical look at the world around her

But overall, she's a positive and cheerful child (Mom just told a joke here :)

She often travels to a magical island

And she also helps Mom cook

And she always keeps a close eye on everyone

And now, at last, the grand moment — Agata celebrates her very first birthday!
Mom (that's me) made her a special personal birthday cake!
"Is all of this for me?"

"I can't possibly eat all of that!"

"Great! That means I'd better have a piece right away"

"And don't forget to make a wish... I want toys, lots of them"

"I hope it all comes true"

"But for now, I think I'll have another piece!"

And that's how this small but very special first celebration went!
By the way, tomorrow I'll be adding the recipe for this wonderful little cake (and here it is — Cake for a 1st Birthday)!
