A recipe for baking simple bread in a bread machine. These instructions may be more useful for those who are just thinking about buying a bread machine than for those who already own one. Making bread in a bread machine usually takes 5–10 minutes of hands-on time, plus the baking and cooling time. I typically use a mix of white all-purpose flour and whole wheat flour for baking bread, exactly as in this recipe. You can substitute dry yeast, but bread turns out better with good fresh yeast. The order in which you add ingredients depends on the brand and model of your bread machine. Some models require the ingredients to be added in the reverse order from what this recipe describes, so be sure to follow your machine's instructions carefully.
Ingredients:
- 400 g flour (200 g all-purpose wheat flour + 200 g whole wheat flour)
- 270 ml water
- 10 g fresh yeast
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt

How to cook bread machine bread
Measure the water using the measuring cup (usually included with the bread machine). Add the salt and sugar, and stir to combine.
