A beautiful appetizer with a unique flavor. The chicken is marinated in orange juice, then roasted, and set in orange shell cups. My kid and I loved it — my child ate 4 wedges right away and asked for more, but my husband was unmoved by the dish, though he generally doesn't like anything resembling aspic. I think if you enjoy unusual chicken dishes, and especially the combination of chicken, orange, and garlic, you're going to love this fun little appetizer.
Ingredients:
- 2 oranges
- 350 g chicken meat (I used 1 small breast fillet and 1 chicken thigh)
- 70-150 g carrots
- 10 g gelatin (1 packet)
- 1 clove of garlic (or 0.5 tsp garlic powder)
- salt
- pepper

How to cook chicken appetizer in oranges
Cut the oranges in half and juice them with a citrus juicer, then strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve.

Add the carrots, diced. I used 1 large carrot (150 g), but I think half a carrot would have been better. Season with salt and pepper, add the garlic, and stir to combine.

Dissolve the gelatin in 2-3 tablespoons of water and let it bloom for 10 minutes, or for the time indicated on the package. Stir the bloomed gelatin into the chicken mixture and mix thoroughly until the gelatin is fully dissolved. Let cool until just warm.
