A really unique pâté made from hard-boiled eggs, fragrant fried onion, walnuts, and garlic. Everyone I've served it to had a different guess about what's in it — liver, boiled beef, even beans. Nobody managed to guess boiled eggs. All in all, the pâté turns out delicious, hearty, and budget-friendly.
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 200 g onion
- 50 g walnuts
- 2-3 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- salt

How to cook Hungarian egg pâté
Boil the eggs for 10 minutes from the moment the water comes to a boil. Cool them down by covering with cold water.

Add the onion and cook for about 10–15 minutes, until completely soft and lightly golden. Season with salt and pepper at the end.
