A simple and delicious cake made from everyday ingredients. The cake turns out so soft and tender that it needs no extra soaking or frosting. I just finished it off with a rich chocolate glaze and crunchy walnuts.
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 50 g butter
- 200 g sour cream
- 200 g sugar
- 200 – 250 g flour
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder (level)
- Glaze:
- 50 g butter
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- a handful of nuts (walnuts, almonds, etc.)

How to cook zebra cake
Beat the eggs with the sugar thoroughly until the mixture is noticeably lighter and has increased in volume.

Transfer half of the batter to a separate bowl. Add cocoa to the remaining half and beat to combine.

Generously grease your baking pan with butter (I use a 22 cm round pan). Spoon 2 tbsp of the light batter exactly into the center of the pan.

Continue alternating until all the batter is used up. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F) for about 30–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Make the glaze. Combine the butter, sour cream, sugar, and cocoa in a small saucepan and place over heat.
