A delicious homemade soup based on an old Russian recipe. The soup turns out very hearty, rich, thick, and incredibly appetizing. To make it, you prepare what's called "zatirukha" — a mixture of egg and flour rubbed together by hand. Kids especially love this soup, but adults are sure to enjoy it too.
Ingredients:
- 100 g - 200 g chicken (or 1.5 L ready-made chicken broth)
- 2 eggs
- 6-7 tbsp flour
- 400 g potatoes
- 100 g onion
- 100 g carrots
- 2 bay leaves
- salt
- pepper
- vegetable oil for frying

How to cook zatirukha soup
Make the broth for the soup (simply cook the chicken until done in 1.5 L of salted water, then remove the chicken).

Vigorously rub your hands together over a plate. Small floury crumbles should fall onto the plate. Continue in the same way until the egg is used up.

Pour the zatirukha into a colander or sieve and shake it a little to remove any excess flour. The zatirukha is ready.
